Vietnam Padel Association history. The first ever padel pitch in Vietnam in a private house in Long Thanh, VIETNAM. "VPA" started in Saigon in 2013, with a bunch of Padel fans we wanted to bring the sport in Vietnam, we were all very exited in the idea that Padel was a perfect fit for Vietnamese people. Tennis & Badminton were very popular and the way players play were similar to the way players play padel. People in Vietnam prefers double than single, so players have developed great hand skills. The sport is perfectly adapted for the physicality of Vietnamese. After that, Padel was first introduce by Mr. Nguyen Van Dinh in 2017, with the first private padel pitch in Long Thanh near Ho Chi Minh City, build from scratch with all local suppliers, after several testing of the surface, walls, fences, we came out with the perfect quality pitch. From there, we started to grow the community around Padel. In March 2021 the first ever club in Vietnam was built in Ho Chi Minh city, in the heart district 2 inside an existing sport complex, the club have 6 pitches outdoor. With this first big pilot project we hope to attract other Padel fans and investors to grow the sport in Vietnam. Our goal is to give access to all Vietnam population to Padel. We aim to build more than 20 clubs in 16 cities around Vietnam by 2025 from the south to the north. Let's make Padel the fastest growing sport in Vietnam as it is already the fastest growing sport in the world!!
