The schedule is not 100% fixed, and subject to change. If we need to move the days of a category due to high entry numbers, we will contact everyone well in advance of the tournament.

Vietpadel Thao Dien Central is all outdoor courts which mean participants will need to expect to play under the sun.

We will not allow players to enter 2 levels which are scheduled to follow each other. Should the player do well in the first category, it is causing too much disruption to the schedule through the rest of the day.

Rules

Previous rules for lateness will be in effect. They are as follows:

1. We will color-code the matches live on the schedule. When a game begins, it will go green. When it ends, it will go red. It is your job to make sure you are on time for the beginning of your match. The schedule will again follow a ‘next available court system’ where no court will be assigned and no exact start time can be given, aside from the first matches of the day.

2. If you are late for you match, you will have 5 minutes once the match has been called. For every 5 minutes after that, you will be penalized 1 game – eg: you are 15 minutes late, you begin 0-3 down.

Anyone more than 20 minutes late will be defaulted for that match and the opponents will be awarded a 6-0 victory.

3. We will have a strict 5 minute warm-up rule. Please be ready to take to the court as soon as the previous match finishes. You then have 5 minutes to warm up and begin the match. If you take longer than 5 minutes to begin, then the match will begin at a 1-1 score.

For your first match of the tournament, we will allow an extra 2 minutes of warm up!

All of this is applicable to matches beginning at 7am in the morning also. We expect these matches to be getting underway at 7.07am

On occasion, we need to be flexible with the schedule, and we reserve the right to change the court you may play on and the order in which matches take place. Adequate notice will be given to teams when a change needs to happen, and will be considered when applying any lateness rule or consequence.

Organizers will implements a lateness penalty in matches, which can cost games, sets and a forfeit of the match.

In the case of a withdrawal from knockout stages, organizers can chose to implement a lucky-loser system. There will be no changing of partner in the main draw once a team have played their first match of a tournament in the event of injury or any other reason meaning one player can not play.

In the case of on court disagreement over a call, players should come to an agreement. If an agreement can not be reached, the tournament organizer should be called to the court to settle. Settlement can be a point awarded, or a let to be played. The organizers judgement will be final.
